Accessories on my blog page

The first accessory that I thought would be useful for when I am a teacher and in my classroom would be the countdown feature. I could make it countdown to the last day of school, or to the date of a test, or to the nearest students birthday! I think it would get the students more involved and it would be nice to show them how much time they have left to complete something.
I also added the Twitter update feature. This could be cool to use with a high school class to get all of the students connected. If one student had a question, they could tweet the teacher and then all of their followers could see it and the answer. I also thin it would be cool to see what everyone was doing and to communicate easier outside of school, especially because its already linked to the class blog.
The third accessory I added was a picture slide show. This would be cool to use if you were the teacher of a younger class and the parents were members of the class blog. If there was like a field trip or a report day or costume day you could easily make a slide show of the pictures and share them with the parents.
Finally I chose the YouTube link. The teacher could post education videos on the blog for homework or maybe even the students could post funny videos to entice them to blog. I think that there is so much on YouTube, by linking it to your blog you really expand it.
